Fireflies

Sometimes it's hard to realize that this is all transitional.
Just because it's what I wanted, doesn't mean it's what I'd need. And that sounds like the tune I'd been dancing to for so long that the
Soles of my shoes milled completely into the floor. So where's the breaking point? And what is to be said of the old song and dance?
What have you kept and written down? What have you kept and written down?
What have you kept and scribbled out? What have you left and figured out, that all these things together are what dictates the feature scenes?
Fireflies only show up in the dark, so let that be what inspires the morning. Keep the pages fresh, keep the pen's ink wet. Capture it all in jars that collectively create something more than it is or ever could be by itself. But wasn't that the point all along?
Soles of my shoes milled completely into the floor. So where's the breaking point? And what is to be said of the old song and dance?
I swear there are sunsets in thousands of cities and the wind still invades other trees, but somehow, somewhere, something feels different to me.
I am this consuming thing.
I am this consuming thing.

Orbs

It comes like flashing signs, warning lights and the fear of something worse. This seat has never seen me sat so low.
So, in regards to the state of how things have been as of late, I guess, it's bleak but light bleeds in.
It's bleak but light bleeds in.
The orbs illuminate in front of me, and there's just me, hesitating on the brakes.
I've never been so scared.
I've never been so scared.
I've felt that fade, from the most brilliant hues to gray.
I've seen the change, the chemicals try to balance while-
Monochromatic, the pulls of an actress, what'd you say?
This won't be a habit, but I can think of a worse one.
So let me fall from here.
Gripping tightly to the sides while I give up air.
So don't let this become something you build upon, the walls are getting higher.
Don't let it become something you build upon, I can't see the sun.
It comes like flashing signs, warning lights and the fear of something...
This seat has never seen me sat so low.
In regards to the state of how things have been as of late,
They're pushing, pulling me apart.
I can't see the sun.
I want it now! Now!
So let me fall from here.
Gripping tightly to the sides while I give up air.
(So let)
Don't let me fall from here, I swear.
(So let)
We'll surely die up here, I swear.
(So let)
The only chance of touching down,
Is to give up air, to give up air.

I came to wonder who you are, you've changed my face a dozen times before.
You've come from the back room where you've made all your mistakes.
Show me your mistakes.
There's an electricity in the air, it's charging all of my particles. They're calling me to react, bend over backwards.
There's a man and he's sitting there in front of me, he beckons for my desperation.
He's told you things you wanted to hear,
He's told me things I wanted to hear.
He's told us things we wanted to hear.
Knew in the first place.
There was a time and a place when his name was unfamiliar to me.
I'd like to report a hit and run.
I tend to wonder who you are, you've changed my face a dozen times before.
I've found the back room where you've made all your mistakes.
There hasn't been a night that his name was unfamiliar to me. There hasn't been a night of restful slumber.
It looks like rain. Radio says there's a storm that's comin' in. But if you ask me, it's already here.
There was never a time when his name, his name belonged to me. I can't hold still, can't keep it all in.
Alien.
There was never a time when I knew his name was foreign to me, but now I'm an alien to all these sights and sounds.
I used to wonder who you are, you've changed my face a dozen times before.
We've come from the back room where you've made all your mistakes.
Alien.
